YouTube Optimization Campaign

Over a four-month engagement, Studio City worked with GameSpot to refocus the channel’s YouTube strategy, ultimately strengthening performance on new releases while increasing visibility to their deep library catalog. By refining shorts, content pacing, and overall visual packaging, Studio City helped the channel focus its content to make sure their videos were reaching the right audience.

The end result was channel performance improving across multiple metrics: Monthly watch time grew +43%, revenue increased +37%, and total views rose +16%, alongside a +1006% gain in subscriber acquisition as optimized content reached more engaged audiences.

A central pillar of the work was large-scale library activation. Studio City optimized more than 300 existing videos, prioritizing evergreen formats like trailers, timelines, and explainer-style content based on what data was showing resonated best with viewers. With clearer presentation and stronger positioning, previously overlooked videos began generating consistent watch time and revenue again.
